[ PRODUCT INFO] – A traditional handheld refractometer is an analog instrument for measuring a liquid’s refractive index. [HOW TO USE] -Calibrate it with a standard solution before use. It’s best to calibrate. Some have ATC feature that allows them to automatically correct temp differences. Place a small amount of liquid on the prism, secure the cover plate & will evenly distribute the liquid on the prism. Point the prism end of the refractometer toward a light source and focus the eyepiece until the scale is clearly visible. Read the value where the dark and light portions meet.
[PRECAUTIONS]- Do not put the instrument into water to wash, this may lead the refractometer to be foggy or rusty inside. Clean the instrument with a soft cloth after each use, keep the refractometer dry and clean, which can make the instrument accurate and durable. Please do not loose any connection part, or dropping, colliding, shaking the instrument intensely. Please keep it in dry place free of corrosive gas.
